This was a highlight for us as it was a traditional re-enactment of a ceremony that use to take place, in a spot it use to actually take place in (a archeological site/park). Unlike the Miss Tahiti beauty pageant that we went to that started at 8pm and lasted until ??? (we left at 1am), this show was only 2 ½ hours long. All the costumes were made out of natural materials like palm fawns, flowers, shells, grass, feathers, etc. They were amazing! And then, the dancing was so cool, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.Anyhow, this is where we met Korrina and her two young boys. They had rescued this very tiny kitten from the middle of the street and were trying to nurse it (we were guessing it was only about 4 weeks old). So, I got some quality cute kitten time in.
