Again arriving early and at the edge of town, we go to the ticket booth immediately to book passage to Zurich. And again, it was not available. However, this time the lady actually helped us figure out how to get there - no easy task with Eurolines. Right, so we would have to go through Bratslava to get there. Where's that? Solvokia? Ya, okay. Now the bummer, the bus left the next morning at 6:30am! You have got to be kidding! Oh and it's raining.
Okay, after figuring out the metro, finding a hostel, and changing some money so I could use the bathroom, we headed out. No Euro's accepted here, only Kc (Krones- sp?). Dropping the bags off and a quick shower later, we decided to just eat some of the snacks we had with us in the hostel kitchen, as it was pouring down outside. When the rain subsided, we headed out for the hop on hop off bus for a tour of the city. This is the most effective way of seeing the whole city quickly, but it's not cheap!
The gamble paid off, it was great and we went everywhere. It was so nice not having to walk. Oh, the falafals here were not as good as Paris!

Since we were tired and had to get up early, we dined again, in the hostel kitchen off the ramen noodle packets I had in my backpack. We met some nice guys attempting to cook up a frozen pizza in the oven. So funny, total young bachelors - Brian had to show them how to light the pilot on the oven! We all hung out telling adventure stories until we were kick out of the kitchen at 9:30pm! Apparently, it was quiet hours at 10pm and the kitchen closed at 9pm. Oops! No matter, off to bed so we could be up at 5am for the bus.
I thought backpacking was suppose to be lazy days of aimless wandering for slackers! Hmm, this is proving to be more effort! Bratslava, here we come.
